How do I get to the homestay?

From the main market, take a cab to Khosla Parking. We can also arrange a cab for you. When the roads are not closed, it costs 200 rupees.

Is the homestay accessible by car, or do I need to hike to reach it?

It is a twenty-minute hike uphill through 300 steps from the parking area, gaining a decent amount of altitude. Don't worry, the trek is on well-built steps, but it can be exhausting for first-timers due to its high altitude. I believe you are fit enough, but trust me when I say the view you see after climbing the hill is breathtaking. Wearing good sport shoes or walking boots provides more comfort while walking up and down in the mountains. During the walk to our homestay from the parking lot, the guests' luggage could be a problem. A little arrangement can be made to carry your luggage uphill, but try to carry light and use backpack bags. Simply call us when you arrive in our village.

Is the homestay open year-round, or are there certain seasons when it is closed?

Our homestay is open all year.

Can I cook my own meals at the homestay, or are meals provided?

The rooms are equipped with all necessary crockery, a tea/coffee maker, and utensils. You can prepare your own meals at this self-catering homestay. Cow milk is our home product, so if you require fresh cow milk or other basic items, please visit our wing or feel free to ask any of our family members.

Is there electricity and running water at the homestay, or are there any special considerations I should be aware of?

As we live in the hills, we are subjected to blackouts. We do have an inverter that works even when the electricity is turned off. Our water comes from the same mountain forest. We have a direct pipeline from above. Herbs in Himalayan water benefit acclimatization. If you prefer to drink bottled water, we can get it from the market for you if you let us know ahead of time. In the winter, the room requires a wood-burning fireplace. We have an indoor tandoor in our guest room. The woods are completely free. At any time of day or night, you can light a fire and warm up your room.

Are there any restrictions on noise or other activities at the homestay, such as music or campfires?

We strictly prohibit late-night alcoholic parties, loud music, and noise of any kind because our homestay is in the midst of nature. If you want to drink responsibly, I might be willing to join you!

Are there any health and safety considerations I should be aware of, such as altitude sickness or wildlife encounters?

We believe you are physically capable of reaching our homestay. There are no other wildlife interactions.

Manali is best visited between October and June. With vivid, colourful flowers in full bloom and a comfortable environment ranging from 10 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. If you want to view snowfall, the months of December through February are ideal. With subzero temperatures, Manali transforms into a winter wonderland with its snow-capped environs.
